At the Bike Church we sell many bikes that are fixed up and Ready to Ride. These bikes have been thoroughly tuned up and safety checked by our trained mechanics. As a result these bikes cost a bit more, typically $100-$400. If you want a bike that is safe, that you can ride home today, you should consider our Ready to Ride bikes.
Additionally, we sell bikes As - Is. These are project bikes that have had no work done to them at the Bike Church. As - Is bikes range from a bare frame to a bike that may need some light servicing. These bikes are available to people who are interested in doing the work themselves and learning along the way. An As - Is bike may take several hours to several weeks to fix up. These bikes require time and patience. If you are already a mechanic or interested in learning, an As - Is bike may be a good option for you. Just remember you are responsible for getting the project done. As - Is bikes come with no guarantee and may not be returned for cash or exchange. These bikes are your project and you are responsible for the safety and mechanics involved. As - Is bikes are typically much cheaper than Ready to Ride bikes. Prices reflect the original quality of the bike (frame, included components, etc.) and how much work the bike needs to get on the road. As - Is bike prices generally range from $50 - $200. If you are interested in an As - Is bike project you will be asked to purchase the bike before starting work on it. You can pay for additional parts, shop time, etc. when you leave the shop. The Bike Church does not offer any storage of As - Is bikes. If you need more than one day to complete the project (which is typical) you should bring it home and return another day to complete it. Bike Church mechanics are available to help you select an As - Is bike project. We are happy to help you complete your project but if the project is too extensive or if the shop gets busy we may ask you to continue your project on another day. Thanks! -The Bike Church Collective. |
