Women/Transgender Bike Workshop
Facilitated by: Ann, Idit, Ellie & Emilyn
Contact info: (541) 232-9747
Dates: First and third Sunday mornings: September 21, October 5 & 19, November 2 & 16, December 7 & 21 from 11am –2pm. Feel free to drop in at any point during these hours.
Description: Bicycle maintenance has traditionally been an overwhelmingly male-dominated area. It is our goal to help teach individuals who have been marginalized or intimidated in this setting to be knowledgeable and confident working on their bikes and cycling. This workshop provides a safe space for women and other gender minorities to work on their bikes and learn new skills.  Taught by women/queer mechanics.

 Build a Bike Wheel

Description: Start with a hub, a rim, and some spokes, and end up with a bicycle wheel!  The process will be covered step by step.  You can either buy the materials (around $20-$30) and keep your wheel, or build a wheel to donate to the Bike Church.
Prerequisites and Requirements:  None – you don't even need a bike.
